“International Entrepreneurs Association, UK and The Co-operative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (CEDI) ; The School of Technology Management and Logistics ( STML) are exploring the possibilities of Transnational on Double Awards.—(September 2023) )

The International Entrepreneurs Association (IEA, UK), in collaboration with the Cooperative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (CEDI) of the University of the North (UUM) in Kedah, Malaysia, and its School of Technology Management and Logistics, is exploring the development of a dual program and opening up global business doors for students.

During the exchange meeting, the three sides acknowledged that cross-border education cooperation will provide students with unique prospects and limitless opportunities for their future jobs. Students will reap several advantages that will influence their journey into the global business sector.

Through this partnership, students will receive dual accreditation from the International Entrepreneur Association of the United Kingdom (IEA) and the University of Northern Malaysia (UUM). This will boost their CV's value and increase their employment competitiveness.

The dual curriculum places emphasis on the cultivation of entrepreneurship and the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills, affording students the opportunity to not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but also to use it in practical business contexts.

The significance of these programs to students was acknowledged by Dr. Hasnizam, the Director of the Cooperatives and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (CEDI), Associate Professor Kamaru, the Associate Dean of the School of Technology Management and Logistics, and Dr. Chong Kai lin, the Director of the Institute. In the context of these collaborative effort, students will be required to establish linkages across two or more distinct disciplines. The integration of analytical thinking in education enhances students' problem-solving abilities by enabling them to approach complicated problems through the lens of this field, hence facilitating the generation of comprehensive solutions.

According to Dr. Henry How, the Asia Pacific Representative of the IEA, UK; undertaking extensive studies across multiple disciplines and gaining diverse information possesses the potential to foster creativity. Therefore, students have the opportunity to identify novel approaches for addressing practical problems. Interdisciplinary studies draw together the intellectual perspectives of several academic areas. Those who possess an in-depth knowledge are more inclined to effectively navigate and adapt to the dynamic nature of the professional landscape. Individuals are more prone to transitioning to alternative disciplines or adapting to new innovations and trends.

Students are offered a unique educational opportunity that prepares themselves for the world of international business through the initiatives of the UUM, Malaysia and the IEA, UK This partnership lays a strong foundation for students' future success by encouraging practical engagement and innovation in addition to academic understanding.

Graduate Entrepreneurship: A Path to Eradicating Youth Unemployment and Boosting World's Economy – (May 2023)

Youth unemployment is a significant global concern, and an impactful approach to tackle this issue is by promoting graduate entrepreneurship. The worldwide economy has demonstrated robustness and the capacity for expansion, and effectively utilising the inventive mindset of recent graduates can make a substantial contribution to the promotion of sustainable economic progress. This essay aims to examine the potential impact of graduate entrepreneurship on addressing the issue of youth unemployment and promoting economic growth on a global scale.

The Challenge of Youth Unemployment

The issue of youth unemployment continues to pose a substantial obstacle on a global scale, since a considerable proportion of new graduates’ encounter difficulties in obtaining formal employment opportunities. This phenomenon not only engenders economic instability but also gives rise to squandered human capital and the potential for social unrest. The current practise of heavily depending on public sector employment as the predominant means of securing employment has become unviable due to the government's constrained ability to accommodate the increasing influx of graduates.

The Significance of Graduate Entrepreneurship

The utilisation of graduate entrepreneurship holds significant potential in effectively addressing the issue of youth unemployment and fostering economic growth on a global scale. By cultivating a climate conducive to creativity, offering assistance, and establishing a facilitating milieu, the global community can harness the untapped capabilities of its younger generation, thereby catalysing economic expansion, generating employment opportunities, and envisioning a more promising trajectory for the country. The present moment necessitates global attention towards the allocation of resources to support the development of young graduates and the adoption of entrepreneurship as a fundamental catalyst for economic growth and advancement.
